The latest post by Ayan Mukerji has almost confirmed that Brahmastra 2 will be his next directorial, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles. With this, it has also been confirmed that he won't be directing YRF's Dhoom 4, which will reportedly be headlined by Ranbir Kapoor. Ayan was the first choice to helm the fourth instalment of the heist actioner, but the disastrous box office result of War 2 has made the makers rethink the strategy. According to Bollywood Hungama, "Ayan believes that films like War 2 and Dhoom 4 were never meant for him, and he wants to do something a lot wider with scope for romance, drama with spectacle vibes and storytelling".
