Dhurandhar 2 Day 29 Box Office: Ranveer Singh Starrer Records Rock-Solid Hold; BMS Ticket Sales Breach 1.74 Crore Mark

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has occupied the fourth spot among the highest-grossing Day 29 movies in Bollywood history, further solidifying its legendary status. While its predecessor continues to lead the pack with a staggering ₹8.75 crore on this specific day, the sequel's journey has been vastly different and far more explosive. The first film was a classic slow-burner that relied on a long, steady word-of-mouth trend to build its massive total. In contrast, this Ranveer Singh starrer benefited from massive anticipation and the immense power of the brand, leading to a front-loaded performance that saw it surpassing the first part's lifetime collections well before even reaching this one-month milestone. Despite having already done the heavy lifting early on, the movie still collected ₹3.40 crore on its 29th day across India, registering a very healthy hold with just a 16 per cent drop from the previous day's ₹4.05 crore net.

The ground-level demand is best reflected in the ticket sales on BookMyShow, where the film has reached a monumental milestone. By the end of its fourth week, Dhurandhar 2 has sold approximately 1.74 crore tickets on the platform. To put this in perspective, it has significantly surpassed the lifetime BMS ticket sales of Dhurandhar part 1, which stood at 12.62 million. While it still trails the massive 19.72 million mark set by Pushpa 2, the current momentum suggests it has comfortably outperformed other giants like Kalki 2898 AD and Kantara Chapter 1 in terms of digital ticket volume. The fourth week alone saw a steady trickle, starting with over 166k tickets on Friday and maintaining a consistent rhythm through the weekdays.

Here is the breakdown of total tickets sold on BookMyShow for the top Indian movies at the end of their fourth week:

• Pushpa 2: The Rule: 19.72 million

• Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge: 17.45 million

• Kantara Chapter 1: 13.68 million

• Kalki 2898 AD: 12.68 million

• Dhurandhar: 12.62 million

Looking closely at the Day 29 activity, the film saw nearly 48,000 tickets sold on BMS between 8 am and 10 pm. This is almost identical to the previous day, indicating that the film has hit a plateau where the core audience in metro centers is still turning up consistently. The hourly trends remained stable, with the 10-11 pm window recording 2,710 tickets compared to 2,260 the night before. This kind of minor uptick in late-night show bookings is usually a sign of positive word-of-mouth still circulating among the urban audience, which has been the primary driver for this Aditya Dhar directorial.

As we move into the fifth Friday, the early morning trends are looking very promising. Between 9 am and 10 am today, the film sold 2,520 tickets on BMS, which is slightly better than the 2,500 tickets sold during the same window yesterday. The total sales from 8 am to 10 am today stand at 3,970 tickets, which is just a fraction below yesterday's 4,090. This minimal drop signals a flat or even a potential growth trend for the 5th weekend. Typically, films of this scale see a slight boost on Friday evenings, and with the morning numbers staying at par with Thursday, we could be looking at a ₹4 Cr plus day, which would be a phenomenal start to the fifth week.

The total collections landscape remains historic. With an all-India net that has already breached the ₹1,100 Cr mark and a worldwide gross standing at ₹1,737.74 Cr, every single crore added from here on is simply padding the record. The film has already proven its mettle by maintaining a rock-solid show count of 8,654 even on its 29th day. As the film enters its second month, the focus will be on its marathon run. Given the current BMS trends and the steady hold in the Hindi belts, Dhurandhar 2 is well on its way to setting a lifetime benchmark that will be incredibly tough for future releases to challenge.
