Dacoit Week 1 Box Office: Adivi Sesh Starrer Nets Rs. 28.45 Crore; Smashes HIT 2 Lifetime Numbers in Just 7 Days

Dacoit has completed its first week at the box office, and the numbers once again prove the remarkable consistency of Adivi Sesh. The film has concluded its opening week with a total India net collection of ₹28.45 Cr. While the movie started on a very strong note over the weekend, the real story lies in its ability to outperform Sesh's previous career-best figures. By the end of its seventh day, the actioner has already surpassed the lifetime India net of HIT: The Second Case, which stood at ₹25.92 Cr. This early lead confirms that the Sesh brand of thrillers continues to find a loyal audience, even when the weekday trending shows signs of a struggle.

Analyzing the weekday trend, the film faced a sharp reality check after a rock-solid opening weekend. After netting over ₹6 Cr consistently from Friday to Sunday, it witnessed a steep 57 per cent drop on its first Monday (Day 4), collecting ₹2.70 Cr. Since then, the momentum has stabilized into a low but steady crawl, currently averaging around ₹1.25 Cr per day. On Day 7, the film added ₹1.40 Cr across 3,608 shows. The occupancy for the Telugu version remained respectable at 18 per cent, while the Hindi version struggled to take off, recording just 8 per cent occupancy in limited shows. It is clear that while the North markets are yet to fully embrace the film, the home territory is doing the heavy lifting.

Speaking of home territories, the regional strongholds have been the backbone of this Week 1 performance. The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/TG) belt alone accounts for over ₹20 Cr of the total gross, followed by a decent contribution of ₹3.59 Cr from Karnataka. Domestically, the total India gross has reached ₹33.10 Cr. The ticket sales on BookMyShow also reflect this steady interest, with the film selling over 6.69 lakh tickets in its first week. The weekend saw a peak of 1.50 lakh tickets on Friday, and although the numbers dipped significantly on Wednesday and Thursday, the cumulative volume has been enough to keep the distributors in the safe zone.

The most significant highlight of Dacoit theatrical run, however, comes from the international markets. Adivi Sesh has achieved a rare hat-trick in the USA, with Dacoit becoming his third consecutive film to cross the $1 Million mark, following the massive success of Major and HIT 2. Even more impressively, it is the fastest film in his career to reach this milestone, thanks to strong premiere pre-sales of over $100,000. As of Wednesday, the North America total stood at $1.07M. The total overseas gross currently stands at ₹12.40 Cr, pushing the worldwide gross collection to an impressive ₹45.70 Cr in just seven days. The film is now nearing the breakeven mark in the USA, a feat that cements Sesh credibility as a bankable star in the overseas circuit.

As Dacoit enters its second week, the challenge will be to maintain this low-level stability. While the explosive growth of the first three days is gone, the film has already done enough to be classified as a successful venture compared to its predecessors. With the worldwide total already ahead of the final lifetime numbers of HIT 2 (₹41.85 Cr), the focus now shifts to how much higher it can go before the next set of big releases arrive. The Sesh-consistency remains intact, and for now, the Dacoit is comfortably holding its ground.
